The Somali STEM Summit convenes annually, bringing together academics, researchers, policymakers, educators, students, and entrepreneurs. This assembly aims to enrich the production of scientific knowledge and foster inquiry to unearth sustainable solutions for the evolving developmental challenges in Somalia and the Horn of Africa region. This year’s Somali STEM Summit promises a dynamic array of research paper presentations, technical sessions, panel discussions, and workshops on pivotal topics such as Artificial Intelligence (AI) for Development, Climate Change, STEM Impact Aspirations, as well as showcasing local STEM talent and expertise through exhibitions and competitions.
Since its inception, the Somali STEM Society has been steadfast in its commitment to STEM and Innovation in Somalia. The growing delegate participation is a testament to the mounting significance and awareness of STEM and innovation, underlining the necessity for networking and sharing best practices in these spheres. The Somali STEM Summit continues its dedication to equity by advocating for the integration of women/girls into decision-making processes and urging them to specialize in STEM fields to enhance their livelihoods.
